Inspired by 13th Century Roman Liturgy for Easter and St. Augustin’s (Philosopher and Church teacher who lived during the transition from the Antique to the Middle Ages) words about the art of the Sequence, which at the time were referred to by the singers as a work of music. This film is an attempt which essentially reflects what St.Augustin heard. Indeed what did he hear? A form of communication which didn’t necessitate the spoken word, but one in which one spirit to another was revealed. A visual sequence to the musical sequence is presented here.
